Who we are
About the club
Karate klub "Borac" Srbac is a sports association that brings children, young people and adults together around karate — an art that asks for patience, precision and respect for others.

01Purpose and sporting objectives
The club exists to make organised, safe and regular karate training possible. Our aim is for every member, whatever their age or experience, to progress at their own pace — technically, physically and personally.
Alongside training, the club fosters friendship, participation in sporting events and cooperation with other clubs and martial arts masters.
02Our approach to karate
We treat karate as a whole: fundamentals (kihon), forms (kata) and sparring (kumite) are learned step by step, with correct execution coming before speed and power.
Every session begins and ends with a bow. That small ritual is a reminder that the partner on the mat is a collaborator, not an opponent.
03Training philosophy
- Technique before strength, control before speed.
- Progress is measured against yourself, not others.
- Safety and dojo etiquette apply to everyone.
- Mistakes are part of learning — repeat, don't give up.
04Community and sportsmanship
A sports club is where children, parents, coaches and guests meet and support each other. On the mat everyone wears the same uniform; belt colours mark experience, not a person's worth.
We expect members to be responsible to themselves, their partners and the club — punctual, tidy and fair in training and in competition.
05Get to know us
The best way to get to know the club is to contact us and arrange a visit. We are happy to answer questions about training and membership.
